Caliper bracket bolts not fitting
Caliper bracket bolts not fitting
I bought a pair of reman. rear calipers for my 2003 civic si from Rockauto and the bolts that hold the caliper to the knuckle are not screwing into the new calipers without a ton of force, and I don't want to cross-thread. Any advice on this situation? (other than telling me I should have bought OEM or something)
thanks

Re: Caliper bracket bolts not fitting
Remove them.
Run a (correctly sized) thread tap through the threaded holes and run the bolts through a (correctly sized) thread die.
Make sure the bolts will thread in easily on the workbench before you attempt to assemble them on the car.
