'02 Civic LX Steelies

I was just attempting to swap my '98 Merc Tracer Steelies to my wife's 2002 Civic because her tires are about due for a change and the Tracer is getting scrapped and had new tires last year. The Merc has 14x5.5 and the Civic has 14x6. Both 4x100 bolt pattern. Only weird thing is the Merc wheel doesn't seat on the hub. It's just a hair smaller than the Honda hub. I thought both were identical. Are they not? I'm guessing if it doesn't seat into the center hole it's a no go.

If it can't fit the center, you can't bolt them on. Simple as that.

Have the tires dismounted from the Tracer wheels, then install the tires on the Civic wheels.

I'd love to do that but then the tracer couldn't be moved and would have no wheels. I got cheap tires for it anyways expecting a short use time wise. Just hate to scrap them. I'd have to reinstall the used tires of the tracer and it's a wash probably dismounting and remounting 2 sets of tires. Original plan was to swap tires of my mom's Corolla. Oh well.

A jack and 4 jack stands? 3 stands and a spare tire? 2 stands and 2 spare tires?

Throw the 4 into the Civic and drive em to someplace that will swap all 8 tires between the 2 sets of wheels....
Yeah it seems like a bit of work LOL
