front end shimmy
front end shimmy
at 35-45 mph there is a slight vibration in the front passenger area. the car is a 2004 civic lx coupe. i do have aftermarket rims 18" and lowering kit, but this problem just started. please help, and hopefully it's a cheap resolve. i've spent way too much in repairs in the past month.
Re: front end shimmy
You mentioned you had work recently. What was repaired? I had 2 main shaft and 1 counter shaft bearing replaced in my 5spd trans and after the dealer removed my subframe to do it, i got a wobble myself. Courious!!!!

Re: front end shimmy
^X2 check the balance. If something is off balance youll feel the car wobbling. if you've had them balanced or feel the shimmy in the steering wheel and not the car i'd recommend you check:
1. lug nuts
2. axle nut
3. tie rods
4. ball joints
5. tire pressure
6. tire tread
7. CV axles
8. engine mounts
