wheel question

What will make wheel tuck in when car is slam. Is it the off set of the rim?
Is higher offset mean it can tuck in? I'm confused.

Re: wheel question

A car being very low will tuck the wheel inside the fenders.

Re: wheel question

^like bomber said, drop ur car low enough and it will tuck.

and as for offset, it is the measurement of how far the hub is away from the center.

Re: wheel question

Don't get offset confused with backspacing when ordering rims. They are 2 different things. Offset measures from the center of the rim, backspacing measures form the inside lip of the rim. Also remember that the width of the rim will change both of these measurements.

Re: wheel question

So does that mean the offset doesn't matter in order for wheel to tuck in fender?

Re: wheel question

too much or too little offset will not make ur rim flush...

but most rims you buy are in a safe offset zone... especially for 4x100
