Re: wheel fitment

depends on how much negative camber you have but negative camber will give you uneven wear toe is what will chew up your tires fast.

Re: wheel fitment

So if I have a camber kit I can still achieve the look without the tremendous amount of tire wear?

Re: wheel fitment

Ok, excuse my ignorance, i just figured out that our cars stock wheels have a +35 offset so then as long as you have a camber kit then wheels that come with that offset should fit without excessive tire wear or handling issues (given that they are not too wide and rub against the wheel well or fenders), is that correct?

Re: wheel fitment

and yes it would work if the offset is the same but
not if theyr 8.5in wide lol
or 18 theyll fit but your gonna need a fender roll and go from there maybe a pull...
stock wheels are like 6.5 or 7
im on 15x8 +15 offset
and i rub when i hit a big enough bump in the rear
and thats with rolled fenders
and i go through tires on the 17x7's same setup different wheels
once or twice a year
but thats with nitto neo gens
oh and new pix with those wheels with a slight stretch from nitto neo gen tires

So isn't there a way to make it not rub anymore? And also u said u go through tires once or twice a year... That's not bad, not a lot of abnormal wear right?
My bad about all these questions but man, I think its the perfect setup to b honest, i'd like to do the same thing. Well almost, I got the yellow fog lights and smoke headlights, and no wing in the back

Re: wheel fitment

Those will fit, but they'll rub as much as a guy who hasn't had sex in a month.

You'd need to have your fenders rolled and pulled a bit.

Re: wheel fitment

Megan coilovers don't go that low, if you want to slam it you probably won't be satisfied with them.

Ground controls or Progress both go very, very low and ride nicely.

Do they have the camber plates, or do I have to get a camber kit all around? Oh, an those wheels wont need much negative camber for flush right?

Re: wheel fitment

Camber plates aren't enough to correct camber in the rear, so you'll still need a rear kit even with megans, and camber bolts for up front are really cheap so don't let plates be a deciding factor.

Negative camber does not equal flush, off-set is what puts a wheel flush either through the specifications of the wheel or by running spacers. Negative camber is utilized when you are insanely flush and your wheels are impossible to fit otherwise, so you tilt them to fit. I'd suggest not going with +20 off-set because it's so aggressive, +25 will put flush without dealing with your tires rubbing, which considering our fenders are a bitch to roll is a good thing.

Re: wheel fitment

To fit the wheels, yes, stretch the tires.

Stretch them the bare minimum you need to though, because it's not an entirely safe practice.

agree

and negative camber also allows you to tilt the wheel to avoid rubbing
i went for the flush look so i did a mild strtch with nitto neo gens
and camberd the wheels in just enough to clear the fender when driving under smooth conditions
so i tend to rub a tad when i bottom out or scrape lol
i could camber them in a little more but then i wouldnt be as flush
and its not that bad for me my tires arent showing any sidewall damage
and i dont want to pull my fenders cause ill want more aggressive wheels lol
so im satisfied with my setup

and thanks for the compliment

and the lip kit and side skirts are HFP
my em2 is an hfp civic from honda

H-onda
F-actory
P-erformance

lol just in case

i know not many people like the "Hella Flush" look but im gonna try for it until my swap lol
right now im sitting on 17x7 wheels with nitto neo gen 225/45/17
so a relatively big wheel tire setup

also i know not many people are fond of the whole stretched tire but im not talking about an extreme just a mild stretch

im asking for advise and help on this matter

im looking to get either 16x8's or 15x8's wheels 0 offset

im wondering if these would clear the fenders with a mild fender roll and pull
and whats a good size of tire to stretch on either set of wheels

this is not a daily civic its a garaged kept weekend fun car lol

i drive my EP3 as a daily

please if you can positive responses and not flaming nor negative responses
alright so we have different gen civics, but reletivly the same goals.
My civic is slammed on BR coils and my wheel setup is 15x8 with 0 offset in the front, and the rear is 15x8 with -12 offset. I’m stretching 165/45R15’s and my camber in the rear was originally about -6. This setup worked great for me! Matter of fact I never rubbed at all! Now my setup is the same except I have -10 camber in the rear and a 1 inch spacer. Rubs a little bit but the fitment is godly.
