Winter Tires Problem

Hi everyone,
I bought my used Honda Civic Si Veloz 2002 a year ago from a dealer and it came with 17'' rims on BFGoodrich 205/40 ZR 17 tires. As a bonus, they included winter tires for me which are Champiro 185/65 R15 88T.

As winter hit this year, I tried to install the winter tires on my car only to find that the center part of the rim (not sure what it's called) does not fit onto my cars rotor. The lug nuts seem to align properly with the rims holes, am I doing something wrong?

I am hoping to cut costs and use the winter tires that they gave me and maybe look at replacing just the rims. Is this possible since the tires are only 15''? Are there any other alternatives I can look into such as wheel spacers or anything?

At this point, I am at a loss at what to do. If anyone has any ideas that are fairly cost effective to approach my situation I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Winter Tires Problem

don't you have spacers in the hub for the 17? I had to take mine out to fit the stock wheels. They tend to stick to the hub.

Re: Winter Tires Problem

Nope, I checked my car and there seem to be no spacers on the hub. It looks like one piece.

Re: Winter Tires Problem

To be honest I don't really know what the stock rims/tires are. I believe the winter tires with rims are stock though, as when I google my car they always come up with the same rims as the ones I have.

These are the rims I have on the winter tires. As for the 17'' tires, I'm quite sure they are custom since they are chrome rims with sports tires.

Re: Winter Tires Problem

I thought your rims might be to small, but those are the factory ones so they should fit just fine. I can't imagine what would be causing a clearance issue..
