Today, i took my 05' civic into service for its 16k oil change. After i got my car back i my brakes became more firm. I am wondering what did they do to make it like that? My pads were never changed. Did they just bleed the brakes and top the reservoir? or did they adjust something else? I also know that they adjusted the e-brake, but thats a cable adjustment so it should not effect the hydrualics.. what did they do??
thanks

Rep Power: 429 if they adjusted the e-brake, thats why they feel firmer. Usually they will adjust the e-brake from the rear brakes. It can be done from either the rear or from the center console. Most places do it from the rear. All its doing is moving the shoes farther out towards the drum. So there is less clearance between the drum and shoe. thuis when pulling e-brake, less movement and when braking, more firmer.

Rep Power: 0 what kind of service you paid for? Than you'll know if they touch the brakes or not cuz dealership will not do anything for free. You went in for a oil change, and that's really what you get. I doubt they didn't anything else, other than if the service is Type C or D, than they might have adjust parking parking brakes. Look into your recepit.
