Rep Power: 306 what size are you looking for? i just bought goodyear f1 gs-d3's in 215/45-17, and they are absolutely amazing. very quiet, smooth riding and very grippy tires. they are rated really high in wet traction performance too, but ive yet to find out first hand. tirerack just had them on sale for $88, they usually go for $140, so i jumped on it.

Rep Power: 238 the only tire you should be going with is
"The new Ziex ZE512 maximizes the all-season performance with a uni-directional tread design and large circumferential grooves for superior wet weather handling. This tire offers a smooth, quiet and comfortable ride along with an improved rim protection ridge to protect your custom rims. Performance never looked so good."

Rep Power: 260 8 of 9 kumho tires on the tirerack site are ecstas. i am assuming you are looking at the SPT ones from the price and treadwear. the AST are cheaper and have a higher treadwear. any reason you are looking at the SPT??

Rep Power: 0 i don't really care about treadwear that much lol i want performance and 58 bucks per tire isn't THAT expensive i'm lookin at the spt's cause they were rated really well and have a good dry grip rating i don't really care about rain or snow cause i won't be going fast in either of them and theres no snow here in orange county haha ok lets post a new question which tire has better dry handling capabilities? falken 512's? or kumho ecsta spt's? and the tread wear on the falkens are 360 that doesn't seem to bad

Rep Power: 289 I have had toyo fz4, falken ziex 512, and now i have the bridgestone potenza g-009. I think that the g-009 are by far the best i have had. The toyos were alright, they had a rough ride tho. The Ziex lasted maybe a yr or a yr and a half, not very long at all. Plus the ride really sucked in the rain. A little rough of a ride too. The g-009 which i have now are awesome compared to the other two. They have a even higher treadwear - 460. I have them on both my car and my parents car. They do excellent in the rain. I drive on the highway 7 days a week cuz i go to work all the time. I drive about an hour a day on the highway and these things are quiet at high speeds. Also during the rain, they do a really good job holding the road cuz at speeds of 70+ during the rain i had no problems. Haven't hydroplaned once. The ziex on the other hand i did all the time. Also i've had them for about a year now and they still look brand new. They also did great in the winter. I didn't lose control once. Only problem i had was in like a foot deep of snow going up a hill in a two wheel drive haha. Tirerack has them instock for 91 a piece for the size ur looking for. Im sure they can be had for cheaper since tirerack is already high priced.

G 009 Info:
The Potenza G 009 is Bridgestone's High Performance All-Season tire that was developed to meet the needs of sports car, coupe and sedan drivers who want to be associated with the performance heritage of the Bridgestone brand in racing. The Potenza G 009 combines Bridgestone's advanced UNI-T Technology with affordable pricing.
Bridgestone's UNI-T Technology focuses on three primary tire components, the beads, casing and tread, which influence overall performance by enhancing comfort, handling and traction. On the outside, the Potenza G 009 molds a Long Link Carbon Black tread compound into a directional tread design that features stable tread blocks for sporty handling, flowing grooves that channel water towards the sides of the tire to resist hydroplaning, and independent, siped shoulder blocks to provide the snow biting edges needed for winter traction. A continuous, arrow-shaped center rib helps reduce noise while providing constant road contact to increase straight-line stability. Internally, the Potenza G 009 features a Computer Optimized Component System which blends twin, high-tensile steel belts with spiral-wrapped jointless belt edge strips to stabilize the tread area to enhance handling, high-speed capability and ride quality while minimizing weight.

You are so correct!!! I love Falken Azenis's. They are probably the grippiest street tires i've ever had. Hankook RS-2's are same rated as Azenis but cheaper. I've used every single tire. From Azenis RT-615, Azenis ST-215, Hankook RS-2. If you dont beat these tires they will last you awhile. Falken Ziex tend to get heated up to much and chunk off. Ecsta's take longer to warm up and dont chunk which means low grip until warmed.

Rep Power: 0 I have 195/60/15 Falken Ziex... not that happy with them.
Traction is okay, but the sidewalls are too soft (maybe because it's 60?). Every time there is wind, the car move in the wind... In my driveway, if I push the side of the car it move like crazy (the suspension is not moving, feel like the car is on Jell-O!!! ).
The car was more rigid on OEM tire or on my winter tire...
My next tire will have a solid sidewall for sure! And I'll maybe downsized them to 205/50/15 to be sure!
But they are great tire... when there is no wind!

Rep Power: 289 Damn $88 a piece for Goodyear Eagle F1's!!!!!! I am about to jump on this deal even though I already have a set. Do yourself a favor and get those tires, but it looks like you'd like to spend less.
