16s are the best overall size for our cars, if they are clean wheels. 17's are a bad size. Many times they look like you were trying to go bigger but couldnt afford it. 18s are a good 'larger' size, along with 19s.
on the other side 14 is too small and 15 is ok for OEM looking wheels.

Toyo Proxes 4's, Nitto Neo gens, etc... are those not performance tires in 16"?
(I have the toyos in 205/50/16 so don't bs us here )

And 205/50/16 is the perfect size!
Thats the size HONDA recommends for 16" wheels!

No, those just fight against camber wear for those that are too lazy to add a camber correction kit. They may have a longer tread life, but overall they suck.

If you want a good tire you got to go 15's or 17's. Its the sad fact, try and even find a drag slick in a 16. Good luck. right now, im using Bfgoodwrench KDW's, there about that best that are out there. sooo. it sucks. and im running 205/45/r16

I got 215/50 on mine and they look nice and match the same diameter as the stock (at least for the EX). I went for the all seasons and sacrificed performance, but the tires seem to still grip really great. 215/50 is a weird size but there is more in 205/50 which also works. My tires are BF goodrich, not what I would relate to perf tires, but they have been really nice so far. Never felt the sidewall budge on those so i havent been killing the edges quick. I think 16's are the way to go. Ive definately been getting way more grip than the stock suspension can handle.

the wheels come with 205/50/16 BF Goodrich gforce sport tires but iduno if they're high performance? From what i can tell they're pretty sticky now that i've been driving it around a bit...

Gforce are the lower prices BFG low pro performance tires. They're good, but I've heard from a few people they wear out kinda fast. Don't know if it's true as I have never had these particular tires, but the BFG traction T/A's I had wore pretty good

All high performance tires wear out fast.
Look at it like this:
A true snow tire lasts upwards of 10,000 miles and the tread is rock hard. Little grip in the dry, but great tread depth for long time.
A true racing tire lasts less than 100 miles. They get tremendously hot and literally stick to the track. They are 100% useless in snow and ice, and unless they are a harder than average compound with grooves they are useless in rain.

So more grip, less life. Thats it. The more a tire leans toward a racing tire, the less it will last. The more it leans to a snow tire, the longer it will last.

Well good luck finding a tire for performance on 16s
well i have the Rota GT-3(RED) with some 205/50/16..BFG G-Force T/A KDW NT. i must say that is the best tire i could get! dry-wet EXCELLENT! and lighter than my previous 17s...money well spent. $1000 for everything at my job.....im riding HAPPY.

btw.....what Honda did you acquire that center cap from? i found a CRV center cap i like with a chrome H on it, but i want to know which H's will look best.
