Wheels spacers

would the use of a 5mm spacer need to replace the stud with longer ones??

Boilermaker1 is a splendid one to behold

General rule of thumb is 9 turns of the lugnut is the minimum to hold the wheel safely. Needing longer studs with 5mm spacers would depend on the seat thickness on the wheel.
