What wheel size/type to minimize gap

I drive a red 05 VP coupe and I'm looking into getting some wheels to replace the stock steelies. However, I'm not looking to lower my car anytime soon so I was wondering what size wheel I should go with so that it doesnt look silly. I was thinking of grabbing a set of 16" Black Rota Slip's but I'm not sure if they are too big and will emphasize the wheel gap.

Wheel / tire size isn't what affects your wheel gap...its the overall diameter.
Buy whatever sized wheel you want + use the tire size calculator to determine how big you want your overall diameter to be

For 16" wheels I'd say a 205/60 would fill the gap a bit.

wtfwtfwtf! 205/60 would be waaaaaay to huge. you could take those things off roading for sure. i have 205/50/16 tires and every comments on how beefy and big they are.

205/50s are just about the same diameter as stock....thus it has no affect on wheel gap, which is what the person wanted to minimize.

205/55s is at +3% and 205/60s are at +5%.
both of these will eliminate wheel gap a bit but the 60 series will do better.

Somewhere along the way the person needs to compromise between wheel gap and the 4x4 look.

We haven't been through this enough yet?
Use the tire calculator.
The smaller the wheel/fatter the tire the more filling it looks.
