Will my wheels fit on a 1994 VW Golf????

Hey, my buddy wants to buy my wheels so I wanna make sure that they'll fit his car before we make a deal, I can't find any information on this on the web so any help would be good. They'r 17" Icon W61 wheels I guess, Thanks, here is a pic:

whitedawg is an unknown quantity at this point

it depends whats uder golfs hood...Gti and VR6 has 5 bolt pattern but any other has 4bolt. also civic offset might not be best for that german piece of ****...lol

Ya its 4 bolt. But u know how the studs are on German cars? like they'r as$ backwards, I think that might be a problem.

Boilermaker1 is a splendid one to behold

They're most likely bolts not studs (The holes are in the hub. But they sell the bolts like they sell lugnuts, with lots of tapers and ends on them.
If its your buddy, rather than do a stupid pointless thing like ask the whole internet, why not take a wheel off, and line it up on the hub of his car. You're either going to see the lug bolt holes through the holes in the wheel, or you wont. Its a pretty cut and dry yes/no answer.
