Do I Need To Balance My Rims B4 I Put Them On?

My question is... If I was to buy a set of alloy wheels can I put them on my car even though they are not balanced? will that cause any problems? Or should I just get them balanced before I put them on?

Yes they should be balanced, unbalanced wheels, aside from being uncomfortable as ****, will cause crazy vibrations that will shake the **** out of important things... like steering gears and throw those vibrations through the transmission and motor... causing unnecessary strain and fatigue on the mounts.
