polish!

i wanna polish my alloy rims .. ive heard that they can go from that grayish shade to a mirror like type of shade with a good polish!.. should i do it myself or take it to the store?... do u guys no a estimate price on how much it should be? i have 15" 15 spoke rims... and i wanted to know y this tutorial doesnt need sanding? http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarti...s_corner-4.htm

uh, alloy rims should already be shiny and have a coating on them. Using any kind of cleaner/polish on this coating may cause it to come off and ruin the wheel.

If they are aluminum and NOT clearcoated , get a jar of Mothers billet polish and a terry cloth towel and go to town. You can also buy a polishing pad and hook it up to an electric drill for quicker results.

o i c... i have alloy wheels with a clear coat on them already... theres no way i can a mirror like shine outta them?

They are already shiny. And if they have a coating, you're gonna ruin em with a polish. If you want mirror shine, buy chrome rims.

foreals? thats wackkkk ... they shine nice at night time when the light hits em but during the day they look all grey... =/ ... i seen a alloy polishing shop somewhere around here.... i heard i can get em machine polished or something?

and ricey. they might as well be chrome. I think the alloys from honda are much better. If you want that much bling, get chrome rims its the same thing.

Metal finishing shop. Have them mirror polished. Then good luck keeping them from scratching.
