polish! i wanna polish my alloy rims .. ive heard that they can go from that grayish shade to a mirror like type of shade with a good polish!.. should i do it myself or take it to the store?... do u guys no a estimate price on how much it should be? i have 15" 15 spoke rims... and i wanted to know y this tutorial doesnt need sanding? http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarti...s_corner-4.htm |
uh, alloy rims should already be shiny and have a coating on them. Using any kind of cleaner/polish on this coating may cause it to come off and ruin the wheel. |
If they are aluminum and NOT clearcoated , get a jar of Mothers billet polish and a terry cloth towel and go to town. You can also buy a polishing pad and hook it up to an electric drill for quicker results. |
o i c... i have alloy wheels with a clear coat on them already... theres no way i can a mirror like shine outta them? |
They are already shiny. And if they have a coating, you're gonna ruin em with a polish. If you want mirror shine, buy chrome rims. |
foreals? thats wackkkk ... they shine nice at night time when the light hits em but during the day they look all grey... =/ ... i seen a alloy polishing shop somewhere around here.... i heard i can get em machine polished or something? |

and ricey. they might as well be chrome. I think the alloys from honda are much better. If you want that much bling, get chrome rims its the same thing. |
Do what u want. Its your car. You might want to take them somewhere and get them done by a professional. |
Metal finishing shop. Have them mirror polished. Then good luck keeping them from scratching. |
