I just had my powerslot rotors put on (they have the silver coating) and now I'm wondering if I should change my cleaning habit....I usually just (haven't cleaned em yet) spray the tires and the rims with Eagle 1 A-Z cleaner and if it gets on the hub of the rotor or the rotor (when it was o.e.m.) it was nothing....I'm just curious if there is something else I should do now....like just clean the tires and rims with the car wash and a scrubber (soft scrubber I know) or just keep spraying with the eagle 1...cuz i want to know if it will damage the color of the rotor .... if ya need me to explain what I just wrote tell me...
Should cleaning habits change with installation of new rotors or is using Eagle 1 going to hurt anything? doesn't say it will hurt the rotors or pads..otherwise you couldn't spray it on there.....

Its a brake rotor, not a platinum watch. It gets hot and something scratches it... thats its function. Who gives a **** what happens to it.
Spray whatever you want on the rotor. If you cared you wouldn't be spraying your rims with wheel cleaner... that stuff eats finish regardless of what it says. Use soap and a brush.

wish it did eat the finish then i'd have reason enough to get new rims...
but nope Eagle One A 2 Z works like a charm....."brake dust BE GONE!!!"
I usually just get a wash cloth towel, dip in the bucket of car wash soap I use for the car and wiped them down, spray and wipe dry. No need for cleaners as he said they all take away finishes over time making them more susceptable to scratches, knicks, etc.
