getting new tires need help.
ok i got a 2001 honda civic ex, currently i got 215/35/18s on it, its stock height.
i want to get 45s due to where i live and roads are horrible , well its a bad ride and i dotn want to risk damaging my rims. so i would like to get 45's i suppose. my question is will these fit/work and as for the 215 what should i get cus im not sure to much about tires and what the numbers mean and what will work for my car, i just know the 35's are way to small and very bumpy, and 18 of course is my rim size. please help.

after looking around i dont think 45's will fit for clearance but imaybe wrong i dont know. here is what i found. http://www.edgeracing.com/2001/Honda/Civic/tires/18/ i guess i was looking at the Falken Ziex Ze 512 and Falken Grb Fk451 since they are 40's. give some input on what you think i dunno what to get.

HEY! IMPRESS your friends with T-I-R-E K-N-O-W-L-E-D-G-E
quick and easy way of reading tires (215/45ZR18)
215 BEAD TO BEAD (___)
45 (READ 45% OF OF THE 215. THAT MAKES THE SIDEWALL HEIGHT)
Z SPEED RATING
R radial ply tire
18 rim inches
read all of this OR the parts you need. I'd say 95% is agreeable

yeah
should work but like I said if you have to do a lock turn (turning wheel all the way to one side) it might rub but then again it might not. depending on what trim level you have...ex might lx dx etc. might not.. just don't live in an area with hair pins
other than that you should be ok
