Can't mount Rims and Tires?

Whats the easiest way to get a certain tire, with a certain rim?

I talked to a friend at Tire Discounters and he can't get me Tenzo-R Rims. I also wanted Yoko Parada Spec 2's.

I asked if I took both of them to him, if he could mount it and he said no since it's a insurance issue.

What are you guys doing to accomplish this?

Just go to an independent shop near you. They will probably charge you a bit more since you did not buy the stuff there, but if it is what you really want, who cares?

yup - take it to any other shop - call around first to save yourself some time - and just say that you have wheels and need to order tires. or, if you already have rims and tires, take it all to them and have them mount and balanced.

i've gotten mine done at a 76 gas station that had the shop connected.

I think if a national chain like Discount Tires would do it, they did mine, it wouldn't be an insurance thing. It's probably more of a "buy our tires" thing.

Buy rims where you can get them, take them to a place that has the tires you want, mount, bolt on, go.

Yeah, they're never responsible for ruining things anyways. If they were they'd all be broke because they **** up so much.

I've heard alot of bad things about Tire Discounters (rude, unprofessional, not good at what they do, ext.) just do it yourself, pull your car somewhere flat, take your scissor jack and jack up one side at a time and put them on, very very very easy to do. Then just drive to somewhere and have them tighten the bolts up more, no cost to you.

Mounting tires on wheels, not wheels on car.
