I have a set of ep3 rear disks going on this weekend and on one of the hubs, a lug bolt is loose. i have it pulled through, its just that it does turn easily - its not held in place like the others. do i need to get some lock nut fluid or something like that to secure it down, or will just putting the lug nut on it suffice - if i can put the nut on the bolt without the bolt turning inside the rotor? ty

if they're not all torqued the same, you will warp the rotor.

The splines are stripped. More than likely some dipshit used an airgun on it and didn't set it right (or didn't care). You're gonna need to get it replaced. There's splines on the part that go through the hub, when you press them in the splines smoosh.... someone spun them loose. Its not good, although it will hold. if the disc assembly is off the car, just get the stud replaced now.

Found em at advance for .98 a piece. just gotta go there and p/u some DOT3 and a bleeder bottle and im ready to go for this weekend.

Use DOT4 if you can. You're going to need to flush the whole brake system when you do this, so you might as well take the time to spend the extra few bucks and get the higher temp stuff.

first find out what is stripped ...the splines on the lug bolt or the hub. if its just the bolt have it fixed with a new one. if its the hub then have the stud tacked to the hub in at least 2 spots. thread locker jb weld ect. will not cut it. Imagine finding your self with a flat and not being able to get your rear wheel off beacuse all the nut does is spin... not good. fix it while its off the car.
