The Ugly Rust noise when you break

It probably hapened to everybody and its now my turn ..
anyways I was wondering which part of the break is the cause of the little noise (turn off) when you break? Because if its the disc ill take advantage of the moment to change my discs to the big AEM ones

Its probably the pads. High metal content pads will squeek.

brake dust. if its been raining and your car has been parked the dust rusts and you get that grinding noise sometimes when you first go. that could be it also.

ncirom2003 will become famous soon enough
the pads themselves have small metal pieces sticking out to squeal to let you know to check them out soon, it could be that or if you do alot of light braking for a long distance you mightve glazed over your rotor and made the surface so smooth that now it stops worse and squeaks, most common is on a rainy day the raw metal of the rotor will rust but its so little that after a stop sign or two its gone. be more specific of what it sounds like and when you hear it i could help more
