Hawk HP+ pads

I had my dealership install my pads a few days ago. Since then, I get extremely loud brake squealing and more brake dust than I thought was possible. Not that theres much I can do about this... but is that normal? Brake squealing is VERY annoying, especially since my old stock pads didn't do it - even with 48k miles on them. The dust I expected from a racing pad, but I am still upset about it being so much. I washed my car and drove about 3/4 of a mile to the convenience store and my wheels were already coated.

So again... is the squealing and dust normal for these pads?

*EDIT* A few days later, there was so much dust, the whole side of my car was black.

did you bed them first? Or just take them out and pound them? and did they resurface your rotors.
Not doing one of those probably explains loud noises. Expect some noise... high performance pads will make some.
As far as the dust storm.... they're carbon ceramic right?
I'd get used to it. It'll deminish some as they wear down a little, but they're gonna make dust. Axxis Ultimates are the same way. They stop so well that I'm willing to put up with it.

I have the Hawk HP+ brake pads that I installed along with brand new rotors.

They do make alot of dust but I got used to it.

They do make alot of noise and it's embarrassing to stop at a red light with the car sounding like it's on its last leg.

Sounds like the brakes are going to die, but I love how well they brake.

I've rode on them for 20,000+ miles and they don't make as much noise compared to when I got first got them. This is with 100+ highway miles daily btw.

But I have a feeling the cheap Raybestos rotors I got are done for.

Phil_Qc is an unknown quantity at this point
I have HP+ right now...

They dust like hell,
they squeel (spel???) like hell,
and they brake like hell !

They dust about the same as the AXIS ultimate pads but
they brake a lot better than the AXIS ultimate...
People turn heads when I stop... They see a nice 2004
car that sound like a school bus that stop... Actualy, more
like 3 or 4 school bus at the same time.
