Hit a Pothole. Need Help

So I'm riding on Rockville Pike last night and they're making this big new mall and all that good stuff and the construction got a barrage of potholes aroudn the work site..god knows why they're always around construction areas.. anyways.. I smack one of em with my left tire (205/40s) and theres a HUGE thud I hear..and im like oh man i better go grab a box o kleenex.. i stop and look at my rim and its actually BENT on the outer machined lip.. is there any way i can fix this?? I know a hammer and towel wont help bending back 2000 lbs worth of pressure .. so help me.. it doesnt affect driving, its not that serious but its friggin ugly

the only thing you can really do is take it to a shop that straightens wheels. to fix you wheel they are going to need to heat up the aluminum so that when they bend it back it doesn't crack. i don't know how they are in MD but down here in AZ if you can document when and where the damage occured and how much it will cost to fix the city will pay for a new wheel. just call the local pd or transportation dept.

Vantage should not be trusted
yes, same up here in canada, if u write to them about the pothole, and say it bent ur rim, they send u the $$ for a new wheel, which is alot safer than fixing a bent rim.
