Brand recommendation?
Brand recommendation?
Hi :O
I'm looking for a sturdy 17" Rims for my vic.
Which brand do you guys recommend?? I've searched the web forever, but they look all the same to me
So if you've bought and used these rims, you'd know which brand makes the best wheels.

Look on the sides of race cars... you'll find the same 5-8 Names showing up... thats usually a good sign.
BBS, OZ, WORK, Ray's/VOLK, ADVAN, and WEDS are 6 that come to mind right away, there's a few more.
Plan on spending money for good wheels.
For 17's.... Less than $130 buys crap, $130-$200 buys Decient, $200-$325 buys Good stuff, $325+ buys baller status

if youre looking for racing, then why are you looking for 17" rims? if just for driving, tenzo R's are pretty good. rotas are great. konig's arent bad either. and theyre all pretty reasonably priced. the tenzos i had could take a hell of a beating w/o any damage, you cant always say that for some of the pricier lightweight rims.
the brands that boiler suggested are great, but all quite pricy. you can also look into enkei, kazera, SSR, nippon, and kosei. theyre all pretty good and not too expensive depending on what you look at.

Enkei and 5Zigen.... 2 more popular ones among the race crowd.... now I'm up to 8.
And I'm not looking at it from 17s for racing.... I'm saying if you look at what people deem durable to race on, you'll find wheels that are strong as hell. If you can hit a track curb at 100 MPH with a wheel.... chances are you can hit almost anything with it.

Kosei is also good. I have maxxim rims which are imported by Konig. They make some decent rims.
