Suggestions for aftermarket rotors and pads

I need some suggestions for new rotors on my car. I want slotted rotors, and not cross drilled. I drive my car in the winter so I don't want cross drilled. I want some that won't rust easily, so in the summer it'll look nice with my 17's.

Any suggestions??

Note: I don't want a big brake kit. I want something that is oem size, and just the rotors.

I will also be buying some new brake pads when I get new rotors. What kind of brake pads do u guys suggest? I hear a lot of talk about these hawk brake pads. I've never heard of this brand until I came on this site. Hawk brand ok?? I just need something a little better than stock, and they must last pretty long.

Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

Oh, one last thing. What's this zinc plated that I've been reading about on rotors? does it really resist rusting? is that for a short time or will it last the life of the rotor.

Thanks, Phu.

Buy Brembo Blanks and either Hawk HP or Axxis Ultimate pads. I don't see the need for slotted rotors but if you so desire, I'd buy the Brembo branded ones with the cast in slots. Nothing will stop them from rusting, the zinc coating comes off the first time you hit the brakes. If you want to keep them clean, I recommend painting the hubs with BBQ grill paint (its good to 1200 deg). Just make sure you mask off the braking surface when you do it.

I guess you got a point with the slotted part. So where can I get brembo blanks from?? is there a website where I can get em for a good price and must be a reliable website that members have bought from before. They also need to ship to Canada, cause that's where I am.

are rotors from 01-04 the same?? should be right?

www.importrp.com is where I get mine. They're in Washington State, they may do Canada, call and ask. All the rotors are the same I think. DX may use different rotors.

Go for the Power Slot slotted rotors and PBR metal blaster pads.
