Bleeding Brakes

Ok, i've got new rotors, pads and fluid on its way. for the last hour and a half i've been reading up on brake stuff. And i still got a few ?'s. First: i'm going to be replacing the brake fluid so i've got to flush the whole system. inorder to to this do, i suck out all of the old fluid in the MC and then start the bleeding process? or suck out all the old fluid and then put new fluid in, then start the bleeding process? if i do it the second way, won't the new and old fluid mix together? is that ok? thanks guys

You will get less air in the system if you just pour the new in and bleed each wheel until you see the new stuff.

It is harder to remove air from the master cylinder than it is to just pump a little fluid past that point.

Plus the thinking is a little old fluid is a lot better than a little new air.

Besides flushing from the master cylinder out will all but push out the old.

That Pretty Much Says It All !!!

I've recently have done mine, took pictures and have been to lazy to post up a DIY.
You really do want to avoid getting air in the brake lines at all cost. Having two people for this job really helps.
If you have any other Q's let us know.
BTW have at least 2 or 3 quarts of Brake fluid, you can never flush too much, and it's cheap. I just bought a half gallon, I think I used about 2 quarts

u need 2 ppl to do this!!!

1st add fluid to the top...

pump brakes 3-4 times and hold

have someone open the bleeder valve

pedal should reach to the floor and fluid should come out

close bleeder valve and repeat till u see no air or dirty fluid comin out. And make sure u check the resovior level when u bleed em. Also when u bleed em make sure u close the cap.....
