May be selling my Rotas...
I'm thinking about selling my Rota Slipstreams (Black 15X6.5) Infavor of a 15X7 or a 15X7.5...
The reason for this is that Falken is coming out with a new Tire to replace the Azenis RT-215 (205/50-15), and it comes in a 225/50-15... and though I can Run them on a 6.5" wheel, I'd be much better off on a 15X7 or even better on a 15X7.5.
Now for the question.
I'm not 100% on wheels, Suspensions I understand, wheel offsets.... I havent really put much though in to them. So, I know we can fit a 15X7, but what ofset would be best?
Also, I know with "standard" offsets for our cars we cant fit a 15X7.5 (thanks to Boilermaker for taking some measurments), what offset would be needed in order to? also are there any companys Besides SSR that make a 15X7.5" wheel? (I may have to go custom here, Keizers or Kodiaks...)

any pics of the ssr? I just put my 15"s on (cause of winter) and wow... What a difference in the ride... I think I may sell my 17's and stay with 15"s.
I thought they dont make a 15x7.5?

SSR compititions come in a 15X7.5 though they can be hard to find (the tire rack does not carry them, as they are "Specialty" wheels). Most of the top national STS cars are running them...

You can buy the Kosei K1 TS in 7.5, but they may be silly offsets, I never looked. TE-37s and CE28Ns can also be bought in 7.5 special order. This is basically the deal. I'm gonna be buying 7"ers because I don't feel like paying $300 per race wheel. I'm probably going to order them with a mid-30s (35-37) offset to be sure I'll clear everything, which I should. The thing is that less offset has a tendency to put a little torque steer into the car, which can be countered by about 2-2.3 degrees of negative camber.

anything 7.5 will be really expensive. Boiler had a post about offsets, and I would also suggest high 30's if you can get them. I wouldn't go below 35 or you might be running into some rubbing issues. I agree with boiler that the more you push the wheel out the more you will get torque steer going around the turns. I don't know if you can get -2 degrees camber spencer, so I would be wary to get a really low offset. But if you can, go for it.
I have the 15x7 K1s and I think they are 38mm ofset, but I dunno...someone want to find out

PS. Eddie... I'm already working on a wheel deal with Jason (FattyMcJ).
Wow, how many first names did I just rattle off? 4? Yeah, I spend too much time on this website.

Ya, 15X7 are a whole lot more economical..... but 15x7.5 would just be icing on the cake.
and there are several 15x7's out there that are quite cheep, and still are light.
Quick priceing/weight... (taken from the tire rack)
BBS RG-F 15x7, 10.2lbs. $323
Kosei K1 Racing 15x7, 13.5 lbs. $129
Kosei K1 TS 15x7, 10.6lbs $149
O.Z. Superlaggera 15x7, 11.5lbs $200
SSR Competition 15x7, 9.3lbs $309
SSR Competition 15x7.5, 9.6lbs. $????
Keizer 15X7, (Sub 10LBs Easy) Aluminum center = $270 Magnesium center = $320, any offset.
Kodiak 15x7, (Sub 10 LBS) $341. 15x7.5, (Sub 10 Lbs) $344
