1) Jack up car
2) Pull off rims
3) Clean brake assembly (brake cleaner spray stuff will do)
4) Mask off areas you don't want to get paint on (ie rotors, rest of car)
5) Paint

If you do it carefully you can be done in an afternoon. Good luck.

hes talking about painting the calipers without taking them off. Yes you can, as long as you cover off the rotor and **** with and old shirt or wutever.

Im an authentic newbie when it comes to painting, so im gonna ask some more questions so i dont screw anything up. Will I have to primer the calipers in any way prior to painting them? Also, how many coats should be applied for the best look?

I painted the drums and the calipers on my 1991 Accord when I first got it and it still looks perfect. I unbolted the calipers, but didn't disconnect the brake line. I cleaned up with brake cleaner. Then I painted them with a can of hi-temp bbq grill paint . I didn't prep them, so I didn't think it would last, but it did.

you can hand paint them without taking the calipers off or you can spray a can of hi temp paint and take the calipers off.not hard to do just take two bolts that hold the caliper.dont take the off the brake line or else you will have to bleed them.just prep paint them for better results then shoot about 3 or 4 coats whatever your taste is...

I had the shop do it...but if you do it yourself, don't use regular paint because it'll flake off if it gets too hot.

also, you don't want to paint them some ghey color like red or yellow. Keep it black or gray.

OH MY GOODNESS....

Don't be a lazy sack of doo....

Take the darn Calipers off and spray them up right !!!

You will get a few years life out of a good quality spray paint. I.e. Krylon Painters Touch...

It does not have to be high heat paint... High heat may last a year or two longer, but it is not available in many colors. You will get 2 maybe 3 years out of regular.

Also use brake cleaner like telly said.
use primer if you are going for a much lighter or darker color.
Use 3-4 VERY LIGHT coats of paint... 5 if needed...
Many light coats is much better than a few heavy coats.

take pictures
