Getting rust stains off

I've got rust stains on my wheels, most likely from hard braking eating the rotor and heat fusing little bits to the rim, anyways, it doesn't scrub off. What chemical can I use that won't eat the rim finish but will get the rust off? Can I use CLR or is that too strong? I'm kinda hesitant to use anything caustic, cuz rims are expensive. You cant see it except from up close, but I know its there and it bugs me.

hmm i was gonna say CLR too but your right it might be too strong. I guess u could try it on the backside of the rim and see if it takes the paint off or antyhing.
