Yes they're aluminum. Unless they look like steelies they're some kind of aluminum alloy. Very few rims are made of magnesium, but you'd know if you had those.

A friend from work bent his rim the second day he had them. He hit a pothole on the 91 FWY in LA. We were cracking on him for days....come to think of it we still do. Funny crack on him... we were at lunch we all had foam plates after we were all done I got my foam starting rolling it on the desk I turned up the radio and acted like I was cruising ..... then HAHAHA I smashed the plate with my hand simiulating his bent rim...HAHAHAHA.. it was funny has hell. til this day everytime were at lunch and we get foam plates someone smashes their plate. You just had to be there. ANYWAYS he found someone to fix the rim and they bent it back into shaped..it has crack in it but you can't see it unless you look up close. I think he ended up putting a inner tube inside the tire and had that fix a flat or slime stuff inside as well. He hasn't had any problems with it. It all depends how bad it is and how skilled the person bending it back into is. His rim was Aluminum. He tried to buy another rim but the day he went back to buy it the rim was already discontinued. That's why you spend the money on the extra fifth wheel for your spare tire. If you a get flat you won't have to roll on a donut or call the homies to pick you up and get flat tire repaired that same moment or in my friends case a discontinued wheel. Good Luck.
