it depends:
have clearance for wheels so it wont rub
rim wide enough to suppor that size tire
do you care if your speedometer is altered
etc

I believe with a 225 tire .. you'd need to go up to the 7.5
I do think you are cutting it close for rubbing issues ... and since your only going 17's ... I'd max go with a 215 ... because don't forget a 45 sidewall of a 225 is getting pretty thick.
although I like a thin sidewall ... IMO a 205/45/17 is nicest sidewall ratio .. but the tires are abit skinny ... I'd settle tho for a 215/45/17
For mine I got 215/40/18 ... and they look pretty good.

I love my neogens. I was looking at the specs and it looks like they fit on a 17x7 wheel.
