tire sizes 15, 16, or 17?

What seems to be the best upgrade? I currently have 205-55-16s on a 'slightly' lowered 02... I hear people either going 17 or 15. I like the 16s but the car tracks a lot .. every bump or crack seems to catch the tires.. I know narrower is the most 'comfortable' and wider handles better on turns.. but what's the best compromise?

IMO, youre fine... the bigger the rim, the more bumps you'll feel.

what do you mean meaty? wider or taller? With 15s for instance I typically see 205-60-15s.. that seems pretty tall for a lowered car...

ya. meaty tires on a 15 are 65 series. 60s are hard to come by. but then about your tire is 7 inches wide to my 6 inch wide 185.

when i say meaty i mean the thickness of the sidewall. 205-60-15 is meaty...go with a 55 series for 15 ...just MO
