01 EX rear convert...

I saw the thread below, but has anyone done a rear wheel convert for an '01 EX? Threads? Links? I think I've only seen 1 offered (baer racing maybe?) but havent ever seen one installed or heard from anybody who's done it/had it done.

A rear wheel conversion? What? Do you mean rear disk conversion?

that is pretty much the conversion adding rotors and calipers. I am kinda confused on what you are really asking?

Other then using Si parts there are aftermarket companies like Baer and AEM (AEM's for '01 isn't out yet) and I was wondering if there are more and if anybody had used them

AEM has a big brake kit out for our car. I dont think you will ever be able to get one for the rear. Your only options would be to use the parts from a SI.

It isn't the "only" option, so I was looking for all the options out there. Anyone have these for example

How many times does this have to be covered. Use the search function and type in rear disc conversion in the box and search in Wheels, tires, brakes.!!

There arent any big brake upgrades for the rear for our car, like robb said, so many people have asked about this. You need the parts from a si. That is your only option.

First you asked for any conversions that didnt involve rotors and calipers which doesnt make any sense. The conversion is using calipers/rotors, spindles, knuckles, etc... Second that kit from baer will be most likely for a older model civic and acura. Like I said and what most other people will tell you is the only option for you right now is getting parts from a si or just leave your drums on. If they did have a kit for our car, someone would have done it or atleast it would have been advertised on here. Email baer and ask them about it, maybe they can make a kit for our car. But like I said, right now all that is available is doing the rear conversion using si parts. hope this helps you.

yeah it does help me....my apologies to robb if I came off like an ***...I thought he was being a little harsh because I did use search. The archives only have the Si convert so I didn't know for sure if there were others unless I asked....and so I did. I have an email in to Baer...I'll post the results....

No one cares about the 7thgen. The engine isn't great. But anything brake or suspension wise from or for a 4 lug (03-04) Si should fit. The new Si's I think have been converted to 5 lug which is a little more complicated because you would have to convert the front also. Those are you only options. Remember that the Si/RSX have only been out for 2 years. parts are still coming. No one gives a rats *** about the 7thgen in terms of performance.
