how to increase rear drum braking?

guys,

im just wondering..

is it possible to increase the power of the braking on the rear drum?

my mechanic told me that...the power is divided by 60:40...means, 60% on front and 40% by the drums..

is it possible to make it 50:50?

You dont want it to be 50/50. if it were you'd be locking up the rear brakes all the time and thats bad. see when you use the brakes you shift the weight of the car forward on to the front tires, what that does is give the front tires extra traction, and the rear tires lose traction, so in order for the rear tires to NOT lock up while braking, they get less break preasure.

Green Civic is an unknown quantity at this point
The reason its 60:40 is because of the weight distribution of the car. More of the weight is at the front of the car. Which means you need more stopping power on the front wheels than the rear wheels. If you changed up the braking rate to 50:50, you would change the way the civic responds to braking. I'm not to sure how you would go about doing this, but I really dont think it would be a good idea.
