Finally changed my own brakes!@!

Well I finally did it today, I changed my own break pads and got the rotors resurfaced. Only bad thing is when I went to get the rotors resurfaced, they told me there was major runout and what not. And when I talked to a rep from tirerack, she said that I can order new ones and return the old ones for a credit because I told her they were warped from the beginning. So now tuesday, I will put those on. Anyways, I put hawk pads on and they are nice. This **** was easy.

Anybody know if that is ok to do. I mean replacing the rotors and using the new pads. I only drove about 20 miles or so today on the new pads, so do you think it will be ok to just keep those pads and put new rotors on tuesday?

Fine. You just have to make sure that the pads will rub onto the new rotors. I had several problems with my brake change due to the negligence of tiresplus!

No No No. It's not that they won't, it's just there are some that beleive that you should worn them in first. Like drive 50 moph and use 80% then just run for a while and let them cool. Don't remember the term. Boiler talks about it in his DIY. Check it out.

RedDragon333 will become famous soon enough
might want to upgrade, if you havent already, to some performace rotors those high performance pads will eat up those OEM rotors. Make sure you take it easy on them at first till you wear things in and congrats on the install.
