kuhmo,nankang,hankook or yokahama?

I'm thinking about putting 18's on my 02 civic and running a 215/35/18. I just dont know what brand tire to go with. I've got 17's on there right now and running kuhmos. Never had a problem with them. I just know that kuhmos are a little pricey. any help or advice would be apprecitive.

You think Kumhos are pricey? You gotta be kidding me
Go look at a comparable sized Michelin, Bridgestone or Goodyear.
Kumhos are very cost effective good tires.

yeah i understand that michelin, goodyear and bridgestone tires are expensive, but out of nankang, yokahama and hankook kuhmos seem more pricey. trying to get a good quality tire without having to spend so much.

Kumho Ecsta ASX tires seem like a good quality tire.

Have you considered Falken tires? Just a thought. I hear good things about them and I recently bought a set. Haven't gotten them put on, but I'll let you know next week.

Cheers,

yeah I've heard that the falken tires have a good price on them. I will consider them. My best friend had the yokahama parradas on his civic and they lasted a long time, but they are always pricey. Haven't heard anything about the toyo tires. Thanks for the advice everyone.

You can always try Kumho Ecsta 712 or 711. I had 711 and they were pretty good they were quite "grippy" I had no problems with them whatsoever.

i have hankook ventus tires and i love them. only thing is they dont last real long.

i wouldnt be too cost concious when it comes to tires, id rather pay a bit more and know that ill be sticking to the road instead of saving some $$ and get in an accident because i lost traction in a turn or something.

go w/ the kumhos, or yokohamas, or falkens. theyre all great choices.

as far as ^^^ i heard pretty bad things about kumho 711s. and i saw a kid almost run off an off ramp because his 711s lost grip. id go with the 712s, havent heard many bad things about those.

i have had kumhos in 195/55/16 snd 205/45/17 and my friend has had them in a 205/55/15 also another friend had them in a 225/45/17, all 712's and we all like them. i think they handle decent in all contions and they are pretty cheap. dont last all that long though, maybe 2 1/2-3 summer seasons (about 6 months).

Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 here. Love them. Have had them forever and they're still pretty sticky, but they have seemed to have gotten loud.
