Lugnut Question: Kosei wheels

Ok I bought these wheels on Ebay but now I need to get some lugnuts for them.

linky to the auction

Now I cant find anything on these wheels at all, so I have no idea what kind of lugs to get. This is my first set of aftermarket wheels & I read the lugnit FAQ so I realize the importance of getting the right lugnits, especially since im going to be using these as my dedicated autoX wheels so I want to do it right to avoid cracking them in the middle of a race. Is there anyone that can tell me what kind these use?? Or maybee steer me in the right direction, because I cant find anything on these wheels that isnt in Japanese.

Thanks guys

I'll help you out, but you need to put the pic from the auction in this page. I can't open ebay from work.
I'd say you need plain old conical lugnuts. But let me see the wheels.

I'm going to assume you have a Honda Civic 2001+. I believe most people recommend McGard or Gorilla lugnuts. Get the SplineDrive ones in size 12x1.5. You'll want wheel locks just in case. Hope this helps. Someone correct me if I'm a dumbass.

Cheers,

Hmmm... The depressed center looks normal for any race wheel. I'd say a standard set of nuts would do it... Zenkis, Ray's, Crapokugens or something. Just look at the seat in the wheel. If it looks like a cone then any of those work. I doubt they're ball nosed or flat. Take one over to a wheel store, ask them for a standard conical tapered nut and drop it in. See if it fits.

McGard nuts don't hold their torque. And they're little chrome stones. No sense putting 1/2 a lb of lug nuts on a 11 lb wheel. He wants forged alumium race nuts.

www.heeltoeauto.com for Zenki
www.evasivemotorsports.com for Ray's
Any rice shop for kyokugens, mutekis or whatever those nuts are (just don't overtorque them, they strip way too easily)
www.inlinefour.com for Work
Thats what I can think of.
I can't open Ebay from work.

i remember seeing a poster of about 16 different lug styles. 8 were short with different styles, the other 8 were just longer versions of the same thing, i mean, i think there are different mating surfaces than just flat or conical, or ball nosed. if only i could remember where i saw it...

Hehe, I was actually searching for "Crapokugens" before I caught your joke. I was like, hmmm...thats a wierd name, must be Japanese or something. Im such a n00b at this stuff.

I think im going to pick up some Zinkis from heeltoe.com. How is their service??
Im going to take one of my lugs off my car & drop it in to make sure the hole is big enough, I cant tell from looking at it. Is there anything I would need for these rims before mounting & racing?? I dont want to have them fall off on the track, that would suck.

I would probably snag a set of Centering Rings too. I got my orange wheels from Heel Toe... had no problems. Marcus is real easy to work with.

Ok ****, I tried one of my stock lugs & it wouldnt fit. So I guess i'll have to get some tuner lugs, which sucks cuz I found some brand new zinkis on Ebay for real cheap...oh well.

I'm going to bring my wheel by a discount tire shop & test fit a regular one to make sure it wont work. If that dosent work a tuner lug definately will right, they dont make any other kinds do they??

Ok I test fitted some tuner nuts & thats all i'll be able to get on there.

How does Gorilla lugs compare to Zinkis?? I can get a set dirt cheap, but thats what worrys me.

I know im annoying, but thanks for putting up with me

I know nothing about gorilla lugs. If you are just using these wheels for autoX, get NON locking ones. The locking ones are a pain in the *** to constantly change. If you can use the same lugs on your road wheels too, then get locking ones.
I don't know much about who makes good tuner lugs since I don't have any wheels that need them. Just gotta fish around or something... see what brands are available.
