exel wheel quality?

hi, i was wondering if the quality of Exel wheels are good.

i saw the DL-46 and i really like the styling of them. They look almost exactly like the SSR GT3s.

also, can someone explain what the numbers mean when buying tires and what size is good for civics. (no rubbing for 17"s or 18"s)

thanks.

also, how do you "polish" the lip of a rim?

can normal shops do this?

I have exel mimi rims which are knock offs of the konig holes rim. Looks wise they are good, finish can be easily damaged though. Strength wise, they are good. I slipped off some uneven pavement with mine and hit the lip of the rim hard. Stratched and took a tiny peice of lip out, but no dents or cracks. I dont know long term quality because well I did what I should have done in the first place, got the real wheels i wanted. Konig Holes 17 inch. Best tire size for 17's are 215/45 17.

they suck. dont buy from wheelmax. ugh u people and tryig to save money. buy something worth it....think this way... the only thing touching te ground on ur car is tires. wheels hold u up... would u buy cheap shoes from walmart to save money that looked like nike's? if u would just to have to the look w/o price/quality/safety. then do it but dont come complaining to us when ur wheel breaks or w/e

riley

p.s. if ur cheap u get cheap stuff. i can sell u alot of rims for the same price range that would knock the socks off some pos excel btw wheelmax has over like 273 lawsuits against them right now... would u like to do business w/ them..(its public knowledge look it up in the miami court system.. ) they sell blems and damaged rims along w/ damaged tires at a discounted price. gauranteed ur gonna get khumo 711 w/ that package. cheap lugs and not balanced correctly.. w/e just my $.02

whoa, thanks guys. ill be sure to stay away from exel.

and rijowysock: thanks for the warning but you can back off a little... I just asked about the quality of a brand that I haven't really heard of. I appreciate the warning and all but you sound like I am trying to save a little money by buying a POS wheel that I know is a POS wheel when in actuality I don't, thus this question.

Enough of that--- If Exel isn't good quality wise, what other brand has good quality and looks? I really like the SSR GT3 style. Actually, i like a lot of styles, the only styles i don't like is the ones with a million spokes.

noobies might be a bad choice of words. think "poverty stricken". not everyone can afford to buy 18 proffesional quality rims that you can drop off a building and roll away without a scratch. i know i cant.

I'm sure everyone wants good quality rims... but they can't all afford them. Why do you think wheel companies make knock-offs? *shrugs*

Of course the most optimal solution is to buy good rims. I'm sure everyone knows that. It's pretty much common sense. The more you pay for things, the better quality they are.

yes. mine developed gigantic air bubbles after only a few months. my friend's tires couldnt hold air from the day they arrived.

avoid them like the plague.
