40 or 45?
If you live in an area that doesnt get a lot of snow, or potholes or uneven roads with dips and such then get the 40's for a lower look.
A friend of mine got 215-45-17 on her Civic and it looks fine, pretty low profile but still a good ride and the roads around here change all the time, in NE you get a lot of pothole **** so 45 is what Im getting to.
And dont forget the type of tire used will also effect your ride. A harder tire will last longer but give a worse ride than a soft tire. Such as if you got a Kumho which is a pretty hard tire or Nitto then your ride would suck a lot more, but if you went with like a Yokohama or even Pirelli which is softer then you should be a little better off. I am gettin a set of Yokohama ES100s with my wheels.

Im getting them for a little over 100 a tire from my friend at TownFair. those with a set of 17 Racing Hart CRs all said and done for like 12-1300 out the door with lifetimes on all equipment. Its something between 100-110 a tire.

^ are the falken the ones with the "rim protection"? is there anything else goog about them over the nitto neo gens or yokohama, avs es 100?
well, i was planning on getting neo gens, but I did a little research, and those tires are crap. Mind anyone planning on flaming me that this is just what my research uncovered. THey are ricer tires that are better looking than performing; the tread is very attractive, but they have very little grip. Yokohama's are good, Im getting these mainly because the website I'm buying the wheels from has a deal on these for $1049....and I've simply heard a lot of great things about them.
Yeah i hav 45's. They ride really well and they r real close to the stock tires diameter. I hav Toyo proxes Fz4's. Toyo's are really nice. Look into them. They hav a lot of different kind of proxes but i got the FZ4's cus i wanted high performance with the allseason capability.
