Chrome wheels.........

I got a great deal on these chrome wheels, let me know what you think of them and if they would look good on our cars. Im a little hesitent about the "chrome look" only because if never seen chrome on our cars. If anyone has any pics of there cars with chrome rims.....please post them. Thanks, and let me know what you think.

I like the wheels. I'm really not a chrome person either. What color is the car? Post a pic of the car. The pic is a 5-lug btw.

I'm not a big chrome man either, but these aren't your typical bling bling chrome wheels. These are nice and simple, just gonna be a bitch to keep looking nice.

i normally do not like chrome but i think those rims are cool. i think maybe blue or red, possibly black could pull off those chrmoe rims.

if not, powdercoat maybe? they are nice rims.

Chrome tends to flake off within the first 2-3 years if your looking for long term wheel. Mine are polished , but many people think they are chrome

I personally don't like chrome wheels on any car, but everyone has their own taste.

Only if you do not take care of them. Chrome rims are hard to keep up. You have to wash them with a mild car wash and water...Do not use anywheels cleaners at all. You should apply a coat of carnuba wax to them each time you wash your wheels or twice a month, so they keep that nice luster. And in the winter, you should remove them and store them in a dry warm place....So make sure you keep your stock wheels and tires for the winter....that is if you live in a place where it snows.

If you are going to be able to keep up with the up keep on these rims, then I say go for the chrome...I think they will look sweet on a black car.

Thats because I had too small of a tire and that picture was before I had my drop too. That was taken about a week after I got my car in 2001.

Thats about the same as I did with mine as Civicdude recomended, everytime I waxed my car I would do the rims also. It helped road grime not to stick to the finish as much. It was a pain to take care of but when its clean it looks frickin' awesome, you just want to sit and stare at it.

I would also recomend that you make sure that the chrome plating that has been applied to the wheel is a quality one. On my set of 17's teh plating started to peel for no reason, it was a very thin layer. On teh 18's I had which were made by Niche, a division of MHT, the plating was a 6 step process and it had a beautiful luster and was not dull in any corners or tight spots. Remember you get what you pay for.
