Need Help on finding Performance Affordable Wheels/Tires
Hey guys, i'm kinda in the market for some wheels now, i like driving really fast on windy roads. No i dont autocross, so falken Azenis (spelling?) probly wont be the best for my daily driving... I like !7s but i dont think performance thats the best choice, i'd rather have driving stability than looks, but both would be nice. Maybe 16's. any suggestions would be helpful, as well as any sites with wheel and tire packages of your suggestions.

Hmmmm
If you like windy roads, Bridgestone Potenza SO3s...
They're expensive, but you won't find much better.
On a budget, Yokohama AVS ES100s fit the bill.
Definately find a tire that has a well defined limit, and audibly lets you know its going to give before it breaks loose (it squeals).
For Rims.... Define budget.
I recommend NOT buying a package unless you can pick your own tires. Most of those packages come with **** tires, and I think you'll be better off picking what you want.
Typical Budget rims that are light and durable would be Rotas, Konigs, Black Racing ProN1, Kosei K1, Buddy Club P1SF, 5Zigen (Fighter or FN01RC)
Thats whats on my mind at the moment. Search around for threads on lightweight rims. The same ones should keep popping up. That should give you a pretty good idea.

The S03s won't last much longer then the Azenis or the Kumho MX, actually most of your Max Performance Summer tires wont either.....
for traction on a budget the Azenis or the MX is really the way to go. There are a lot of tires out there that grip as well or at least come close but none can match the price. obviously your going to down grade your traction level in trade for some tire longevity, but the balance between traction and how often you want to buy new tires is up to you.

Try www.superbuytires.com they probably can get you something in that range.

I got 15" Rota Slipstreams and Falken Ze-512's for $672 total, including shipping for rims and tires, mounting, balancing, and lugnuts. You can see pics in "my rides" if you're interested. The Slipstreams are 12lbs each, and the tires are 100 times better than stock.
