Stock Tire Replacements
I need some decent tires to replace my regular tires that came with my car. I have been using my wheels alot, but since winter is coming I want to switch back so I dont mess them up. If I remember correctly they gave me/us Firestone tires, but thats all I know. I dont really know anything about tires at all, thats how come I am asking... I want something decently priced and also that is rated to go at least 130mph max, since thats as fast as the car can go I figure its a good thing to think of... also they need to be all season and SAFE. Any advice would be great!

You live in a place that snows?
Do you live in a place that rains?
What's your driving style?
How much do you want to spend?
Do you prefer a certain tire size or do you want to stay true with the stock size? (There are different advantages/disadvantages to every size.)

How long is the hill this car is going down so that it will reach 130? And if this isn't on a racetrack who's stupid/immature/foolish/selfish or whatever descriptor you choose enough to endanger the public by doing 130 on a public roadway?
Your profile says you drive a 2K1 EX, which means the stock size is 185/65-15.
Almost all of the decent high performance all-season tires are "H" speed-rated for up to 130 MPH--that doesn't mean we are ever gonna go that fast
. Hell, most of us have 17, 18 & 19 inch tires that are "V" and "Z" rated for 149 MPH and over--that's dreaming for sure
If you go straight back to the stock size, you can get one of the favorites on this board and also a favorite of Tire Rack customers: Bridgestone Potenza RE950 available in stock 185/65-15 (or 195/60-15 if you want to go a little bit wider)
If you go to a 205/60-15 there are a few more good tires to choose from. Along with the RE950 above, you can check out:
Yokohama AVS dB S2 (V Rated! Good for 149+ MPH! woo hoo!)
Dunlop SP Sport A2

Thanks BigD and Slammed, I never said I wanted to go that fast.
The tires you linked me to are decently priced, but they are all 205/60, and you said that stock tires are 185/65. Would these new tires still fit OK? If so then fine, but I just want to make sure.

Yep, check out the Tire Calculator and see for yourself.
I posted this in another thread, but this is probably a better place for it...also I threw a link for you to look at the tyres:
Hi There, hope this is useful for you...I recently replaced the crappy Firestone FR-690's on my Civic with the new Michelin HydroEdge. They're speed rated at 112 or 118 (I know you wanted 130+ but these are great!). These tires are amazing! They are very quiet compared to the Firestones, and the Yokohamas I had on my previous car. They offer a great ride improvement too, and are AMAZING in the rain (even better traction on wet roads than on dry ones!). They also come with an 85000 mile warranty. I purchased them from Wal-Mart (special order) and it came to something around $460 including installation and lifetime rotation and balancing. No, they're not high-performance tires, but if anyone is looking to upgrade their crummy stock tires and willing to spend the bucks, these are well worth your money. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for! :-)
