Question Drums and colors...

I painted front calipers silver and i'm still deciding whether to match rear drums with same color or just paint em black...Any opinions??

Yes, paint it black. It looks retarded any other color to have the rotors stick out like that. On top of that, the color will eventually fade.

haha djmota is correct... those drums are bout as ugly as they get. What kind of paint did u use to paint the calipers. Im thinking of doing mine this weekend?

Most people probably use spray paint to paint they're brakes but i used rustoleum aluminum paint which is in a can and it seems pretty good so far.

aight cuz i though u might have to use special 500 degree paint cuz they get so hot... anyone know bout that?

I used Plastikote Caliper paint. Did it about a year ago in RED.

Ricey? Sure... But I think it looks nice, so I guess thats all that matters.

IMO I think I'd rather see a shiny disc and a *shiny* painted caliper when my wheels are spinning rather than a colorful donut in the rear and a plain painted caliper in the front. It just doesn't match and I don't see the point of helping it look better when it was ugly to begin with. Painting it just makes it's ugliness stand out but to his their own.

Get Si disc brakes.

I was up at the meet and this guy had some SI rear discs... He works for Honda, but he said it ran him about $500, and fitting wasn't much of a prob.
