Rota Wheels. Quality??

I was fumbling at a book store, and was reading I believe the most recent edition of SCC. They had the top 22 rims, the size, weight, offset and picture. I noticed that my rims made it (ALT Lite Speed) but I really like the way the Rota Circuit 8 (Mugen MF8 Knockoffs) will look on my car. I am thinking about getting those for my second set but they seem VERY LIGHT. The 16' s are about 13-14 lb's. I drive like a maniac and So. Cali roads aren't pathetic.

Rotawheels.com says that all their rims are made in the Phillipines. No disrespect but **** made in the Phillipines are similar to **** made in China (no disrepect to Chinese). They are RACETRACK tested and proven to work, but how about in REAL ROAD conditions? They are fREAKEN Light. Look Tight but do they really Hang WITH THE REAL JAP. Makers i.e. VOLK, RH, ALT, Mugen, SPOON?? The rims are pretty cheap, i can get 4 C8's 16' s for about $350.

Are they Cheap for a reason or are they low key type companies about to become the ****. Anybody who has heard or have had experience with Rota Rims on the road , please help. Thnx Yall.

i have rota slipstreams and haven't had any problems with them. i always drive to san francisco and the roads there are pretty bad. i am Filipino and i undertand you don't mean any disrespect, but not all stuff made in the philippines is ****. you can ask anyone, most peole with rota experince will say that the rims are very good, and if you want to stick to the real Jap stuff then why not try and get the mugen mf8

I wouldn't have any problem with Rota's on a car of mine--always thought of them as a lightweight cast wheel at a good price. Their website also says

"...You’ll be glad to know that Rota Wheel meets the highest international standards. Its manufacturer, Philippine Aluminum Wheels, Inc. (PAWI) holds the coveted ISO 9001 (manufacturing quality and design) certification and QS 9000 which upholds the quality standards of the Big 3 U.S. carmakers."

So I'm thinking that's a good thing
