Passenger Seat, Seatbelt "Chime"
Greetings, All: My Civic is a 2024 (basic model LX I think) purchased brand new. It has less than 6,000 miles. The Problem: the annoying chime indicating that the passenger doesn't have the seatbelt buckled goes off when the seat is empty. (That is a new low. Recently, if I placed anything, no matter how lightweight, on the passenger seat the chime would go off.) The chime goes off when the car is motion, stops when the car stops. If I drive a some certain amount of time (or number of chimes in a row?) without stopping the chime will give up & stop on its own. Anyone familiar with this situation? Is there a "reset" button somewhere? Thank you! P.S. I have tried buckling the seatbelt around a bag of groceries & over the empty seat with no success in stopping the chime.
