Valve Cover swap!

Would a D16 Valve cover fit a D17a1? Found a bunch of sweet cosmetic d16 covers. Just curious.

I tried it while I was at the junkyard, and it didnt work. seemed like the holes for the spark plugs didnt match up. On another forum some user put a d17 valve cover on his d16 with no modding. But hey, take a trip, and try it out for yourself

just buy a spare valve cover and get it powdercoated

It fits, you have to trim around the cam gear area. It hits the cam gear causing it to sit on the spark plug tubes incorrectly. Now just gotta figure out the dip stick.
