My factory headlights are starting to fog. I am looking for an aftermarket assembly that has halos inside.
I saw some on CARiD, but they are out of stock. I contacted them to ask if they knew when they WOULD be in stock, and was told that those only fit a Civic, not an Si.
It that true? Are the headlights of the Si different than a standard Civic? I would think the expense of making different sheet metal, bumper covers, and headlight assemblies would not be cost efficient. I always thought the only difference between the Civic and the Si was the engine and the transmission. And of course the Si trim bits.
If they are different, does anyone know where a person could find a set of halo assemblies for a 2013 Si, that is actually available?
After more than a month of searching, I can't find any pre-made assemblies for 9th Gen headlights with halos, that isn't over a grand when custom made.
I find it odd that such assemblies are available for Civics as far back as the early 90s through 2011, and of course,
the 10th Gen, all for under $500. But the 9th Gen options are a barren wasteland.
If they have to be custom made, I might as well do it myself.
I am wondering if anyone reading this has experience building their own projection lights with halos?
I will have many questions, so if you are not patient, I may become annoying quickly. But if you are willing to answer questions, I'd love to talk to you.
I am fairly handy. I have another Honda that I modified, but it is not a Civic.
Here is a picture of the day I brought it home, Vs what it looks like now, minus the 400 watt Pioneer/Kicker sound system.
