All my coolant hoses are hot, temp gauge just below half, hose into Heater Core hot, hose out of HC hot, felt at firewall, all cables are moving there attached levers, looked under dasH manually moved lever attachted to what I am assuming is the air door to direct air through HC , it moves, can hear what sounds like a door open and close, moved the cable on the valve attached to the hose HC inlet, seeems to be moving,,,but when I put blower on the HOT SETTING air blowing only gets a little little little bit warmer???
HELP...LOL
i did confirmthe water valve was moving, but ty fo the idea, also thought maybe it was moving on the outside but valve inside might not be, but hot hoses confirmed it was,
took apart the dash and blower box to find the door that covers the HC wasnt moving, made up my owe little gadget to join the 2 doors together and put it all back together, so far so good,
looks like I must have broken the linkage under to dash that makes the door open and close when I was putting the das back in a few months ago, hopefully my little trick will work, really its only my summer car but some nights it can get chilly here in april and may,,,

Sounds good.
Just curious...does your a/c work well or doesn't seem to get cold enough?
Echoing the same issue here. Heat will only come on with about 3000 RPM, and when it does come on it works fine.
I replaced the coolant, bled the system, flushed the heater core (rather gently) and replaced the thermostat. No issues with overheating. I'm wondering if it could be the heater valve or linkage. The other common suggestions have been poor circulation (clogged core/water pump). Can anybody comment on how much "throw" the heater valve is supposed to have? It looked fine when I took it all apart, but I didn't pay close enough attention to remember how far it has to rotate to fully open. Looks like I'm only getting about 30 degrees of rotation.
