Angry Engine air filter cover bolts corroded and won't come off

Wondering if any of you experienced DIY Civic owners have run into this problem of some of the 7 screws that hold the engine filter cover secure have corroded so much that they will not come off?
They are 8 mm but my 8 mm socket just won't grip these two screws closest to the center of the engine and these two are obviously rusted. the other 5 removed easily.
I am trying some things I found on this website but without movement of the screws yet. https://www.bobvila.com/articles/how...rusted-screws/
Of course I can take it into a repair shop but I've gone this far and have the new filter and would just like to get this done!
Also, am I able to purchase replacement screws from Honda once I get these two loosened? All experience appreciated!

Hammer a slightly smaller socket on? Try an imperial size. The screws are captured in the lid, you could try the junkyard and see if there's a lid with good screws. Or put on one of those shiny chrome intake tubes all the cool kids use.

Get a set of bolt extractors if the smaller socket method doesn’t work.

thanks that is what I will try. hopefully with some rust remover oil and this tool they will come out. If not I will move on to more difficult solutions.

For those wondering, the screws are a #10 and 20 threads/inch. Any length close to 1" +- 1/8" or so should work, but note that the stock center screw is longer than the rest.

Don't bother contacting a dealer, screws by those dimensions from a hardware store will work just fine.

The stock screws don't have threads all the way along the shaft, but normal screws, that do, will be okay.
