I have a 2009 (sedan) and 2013 (coupe EX) Honda Civic. The 2013 car displays maintenance codes (ie. B1234, A1, B12 ...etc.) so I can just tell my car shop the codes then they know what services are needed.
But my 2009 car does not have such system to let me know what maintenance codes are needed. The only way right now is for me to bring it into my car shop and let them figure out what maintenance services I need.
Is there a way for me to figure out what maintenance service codes are needed for the 2009 car at certain number of miles before hand? Thanks
For the 2013:
The 2009 should have a similar system, actually. On the instrument cluster, switch over to the oil life meter and you should see the same A/B12345 codes on the left hand side
And here are the code meanings
Thanks. I need to figure out how to switch over to the oil life meter on my 2009 DX Honda Civic sedan. Since I don't use that car so I don't know how to do it
It's the odometer reset ****, according to my friend with a 2008 sedan. Push to change view between trip a, trip b, oil life, etc. I vaguely recall there sing buttons to the left of the steering wheel on the dash tho
