Can't seem to update 2015 Civic Sport head unit firmware via USB?
Hi,
I'm a reasonably new car owner, with the 2015 Honda Civic Sport I currently own (see attached images) being my very first car, and I wanted to try and get some sort of sat nav working on the head unit for it. I'm currently looking into trying to get Waze installed onto it via an .apk file on my USB since apparently Honda navigation (at least for my version of the Civic) has been discontinued. However, I've found out that before I can do that, I'd need to update to the latest available version of the Android firmware on my head unit (partially for security reasons). Trying to update it via Internet didn't seem to get me anywhere, so now I'm trying to update it via USB. Problem is that I can't seem to actually find the update files that I need. I've tried entering my VIN on owner websites like MyGarage but even though I've successfully entered the VIN into the government website before, and after I've double-checked it countless times to the point where I've fully memorised it, it wouldn't actually go to a new page for some reason. Dunno if it's because I don't have an account on there, although I'm not sure if I can make an account on there since it only takes US mobile numbers and I live in the UK.
Does anyone happen to know a UK website that I can go to that actually WILL provide me with the files I need to update my head unit? If anyone could please help me out, I would be so grateful.
